Well the Ritz-Carlton hotel is still under construction here in the Queen City, but I can already tell it is going to be an amazing venue. Here are some pics I caught today while exploring the construction site…I still think I need a PINK construction hat!

That dark square you see in the mirror would actually be a television! And the granite was gorgeous, it’s called blue eye granite and has these gorgeous bright blue specks in it.
Forget buying a house, I think I might just live in the Ritz-Carlton when it opens 
This will be an urban plaza when completed, with some great views of the adjacent Bank of America tower.
What will be the main entrance and lobby area when completed. A lot of wood veneer paneling throughout the entire hotel.
The Grande Ballroom under construction. I think it will look much more “Grand” when they are finished putting in the floors and fabric panels on the walls.
My favorite part of the tour was the super deluxe catering kitchen, complete with several HUGE mixers with beaters bigger than my head!
Also some nice views of the city from the pool level.
I have a fascination with going into buildings under construction and seeing how all of the plans come to fruition! I guess that is the designer in me
Happy weekend, a lot of relaxing in store for us this weekend since we have had quite a few busy weekends in a row.
