Urban Planner meet Keith Urban
Saturday morning started off with a nice 3 mile run in the hotel gym, then back to get all dolled up for Keith (we’re on a first name basis now, haha):
(Dress via Francesca’s Boutique (Charlotte), Steve Madden Boots, GAP Jean Jacket, F21 Earrings and Sunnies)
Then we headed to the location of the cookout, off Woodmont Blvd. in Nashville, which was actually someone’s personal home:
We were all donned with personal VIP passes:
And then were guided to the back yard where all the festivities were set up, picnic tables, grills and games galore:
And some super cute floral arrangements in mini grills since Kingsford Charcoal and KC Masterpiece were the sponsors:
And cute ladies:
Then Chris Lilly, famous barbeque master and food network star cooked us up a feast! Check out all this fabulous food:
This pecan pie was a little slice of heaven…
But this was a big ‘ole slice of heaven:
Keith showed up at the end of lunch and came around and met all of us individually and chatted with us before he joined the rest of his band to give us a personal concert. Let me tell ya ladies, when he walked out of that house my mouth dropped to the ground. I knew he was good looking, but holy momma, this man is just gorgeous. Pictures just don’t do him any justice, he has the most amazing smile and was so down to earth and super friendly. It was so cool to meet someone of his stature and see what a real person he was. Oh and the ACCENT…drool, drool, drool. I was a big ‘ole mess by the time I met him and I don’t even remember what I said! I do know we talked about NYC and how he and Nicole (yep, that casually) would be at the US Open next Monday. Wonder if that means Nicole will be at NY Fashion Week as well?!?
Anyways, after we all personally met Keith, the band joined together and took personal requests from the ‘audience’ for a personal acoustic concert. Highlights were Black Top,In My Shirt, Sweet Thing, and You’ll Think of Me. Here is a little preview (recorded with my Iphone VERY unprofessionally, so excuse the quality!):
After the concert, before Keith left, I totally asked him what he was wearing (for blog purposed, obviously) and his response was “A plaid shirt, ripped up jeans and custom boots” Haha! He was definitely rocking some Hudson jeans, but apparently even famous boys don’t pay attention to fashion. It was such an awesome experience and to think we still got to go to the bigger concert and see Sugarland open up and Keith jam on the electric guitar!
Up Next: Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me?
*We actually weren’t allowed to take a lot of photos or ask for autographs, but there was a professional photographer so I will post more pics of myself with Keith when I get them
