StyleDiary: Express Your Creativity, or Not

3921893090_fc17191233_o

When:

Monday, September 14th, 2009

Where:

Work. I thought the outfit looked a little waitress-y, so I added the red tights for a punch. A punch in the ego was what I got as my coworkers teased me about them all day. Why is it so wrong to want to express your creativity just a little without being hassled? I guess that is what I get for working in government!

What:

Dress – F21

Suede booties – Rampage (via Piperlime)

White Ascot Blouse – GAP

Tights – Target

Sunnies – Coach, I am a little upset because one of the parts of the earpiece has disappeared…I expected Coach to be a little higher quality than that.

Hope everyone has a great week! Mine is busy still unpacking and trying to get my house in order :)

  1. I say wear the tights!! No offense, but it seems that few people that work for the government have any sort of fashion savvy. The building I work in has a lot of state and federal agencies in it and their daily fashions are truly sad.

  2. Teasing is just a typical way of reacting to something that’s outside the boundaries of what people think of as “conventional”. I bet most of those people were secretly wishing they were brave enough to wear colourful tights to work, or to anywhere. You look great!

  3. I love it! Don’t listen to your stuffy co-workers, they were probably all jealous over how fabulous you looked!
