Okay, so I am not sure you can totally qualify chic lit as truly reading, but that is about the only thing I can make my way through with my ADD
While stuck at the Dallas airport during our Colorado trip, I picked up a “new” Sophie Kinsella book “Remember Me?”
For those of you who don’t know Sophie Kinsella, she is the author of the popular Shopaholic Series, and several other chic lit reads typically based in London. Actually, Sophie Kinsella is her pen name, she also writes under her real name, Madeleine Wickham. Anywho, this book was so great, I just couldn’t put it down. As a matter of fact, I pretty much finished it in two days on our vacation. I don’t want to give up any details, but basically the book kind of mirrors the tv show “Samantha Who?” which I also happen to love. The main character, Lexi, wakes up after an accident and her memory has reverted back several years. She doesn’t remember her husband, friends, career, or any other details of her life and most of the novel is spent recounting her life over the past 3 years she has “lost.” I highly recommend this book (and any others by the author) because they are quick reads, laugh out loud funny, and a great escape from the craziness of every day life!
