While most of my friends are busy having babies and raising families, I am still busy trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Yet it turns out I have actually known all along, perhaps I just didn’t want to come to terms with it (or risk failure). Since I was a child, I have wanted to start my own business. After all, one of my favorite toys was my Fisher Price cash register. And while I started out my undergraduate career in interior design, I quickly transitioned to majoring in Entrepreneurship. Though this transition wasn’t completely by choice, it couldn’t have been more fitting. So while my friends are giving birth to their babies this year, I plan to give birth to mine. My own business.
Mom, could you dig up that cash register?
