Have you ever noticed how you excel at something when you are confident in your skill set? Sometimes my biggest downfall is lacking self-confidence in my own abilities. I blame my Type-A, competitive personality. If I can’t be the best at something I tend to shy away from it or think that I am not good enough to excel. But the truth is, there is always going to be someone better/prettier/skinnier/more talented than myself. Should that stop me from working hard and being the best I can be? No! If there is one thing I have learned in my journey to be ME, it’s to stop focusing on others and look inward. As soon as you stop comparing yourself to others and believe in your own abilities, great things will happen.
