There is no shoe I love more than a great pair of boots, which is obvious from the several pairs that I live in during the cooler months. Here are a few must haves to fill your closet for fall:

Every girl needs a classic black, mid-heel boot. Just avoid too shiny (p)leather and too high of a heel to avoid looking less than professional.

One boot that is seemingly missing from my closet is a great rain boot, especially since the Charlotte weather has been anything but sunny lately. I think the Chinese Laundry or Hunter wellies are on my must-have list for fall.

One of the great fall/winter shoe trends is the bootie and I jumped on this one with my fun dollhouse booties. These are great paired with tights or leggings!

Flat boots are a must have, especially for traveling or commuting in the city. They also pair great with jeans and leggings for a casual weekend look.

Ankle boots can be a hit or miss, look for one that hits right above the ankle and team them up with some classic skinny jeans and a tunic to balance out the look.

If you are extra daring, try out an over the knee (OTK) boot look at your own risk. These can be pulled off by a small percentage of fashion lovers, and I for one am not in the percentage. If you happen to be blessed with long legs, then go for it!
