Featured, Friends and Fun

I was featured on the front page of one of my favorite fashion sites Weardrobe! If you haven’t been to, you are missing out, it is a mecca of fashionistas and a melting pot of style and creativity. Check it out!

This is the outfit that was featured, and I happened to have loved it too ;)

This week has been jam packed full of meetings for work every night, without much time left for photosnaps and blogging. Le sigh! I did, however, meet a blog reader and new friend while I was working the awesome Center City 2020 meeting last night. Hi Kati! It was pretty funny because I have never met anyone IRL that recognized me from the blog, and Kati happens to work like a block away from me in the same building as another friend of mine.

We had charicature artists at our meeting last night and my coworkers convinced me to have one done, and here is what he came up with (with a little help from my friend):

They were supposed to draw you in your favorite location in the Center City, so of course they put me in the ‘mall’ :) This was definitely the most fun and exciting public meeting I have ever been involved with!

We are headed to Boone in the morning for the hubby’s birthday to relax after this crazy week, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Probably will be spending the weekend in my cozy hoodies and UGGlie boots, can you blame me?

Happy Birthday to my hubby and my friend Kath!!!!

Shop (and Race) for the Cure

2008_Race_Runners_Teal_RGB_JPG

This Saturday I will be running the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure here in the Queen City! This will be my second 5K and I am so glad it is for such a great cause. I know several people who have been affected or afflicted by Breast Cancer, so I will be thinking about them while I am running. If you would like to donate in honor of my run, or in memory of a friend or family member, please visit my Race for the Cure site.

If you would prefer to support the Cure with your shopping dollars, Dogeared has a new line of Find a Cure jewelry where ‘100% of net profits from these special necklaces go to recognized organizations.’ You guys know how much I love Dogeared, so I think this is a great way to support finding a cure for breast cancer! Check out these beauties:

Silly Kitty, Tricks are for Kids

Tillman, our 25 lb. kitty, is jealous of Cooper and wanted to make his debut appearance on the blog. So here he is with some of his crazy antics. He has taken quite a liking to our new garden tub:

Mom, I am ready for my bath now:

One evening I decided that I was ready for lobster dinner, bib and all:

He actually did this to himself with no help from his mommy and daddy by running THROUGH a plastic grocery bag.

Christmas sure was better before Cooper came along and I got all the goodies:

I really like toys, too bad Cooper takes them all away and hides them from me:

I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

Moving day went by smoothly and now we are settling into our new home! Our friends here in the Queen City were instrumental in helping this move go off without a hitch and we owe them a HUGE THANK YOU!!! It is amazing when people you have only known for a short time (in comparison to most of our friends) come out in full force to help you out. We truly feel blessed having such support and finally having a place we feel is HOME for the first time since we were married. Here is a recap of the move:

You never realize how much stuff you really have until you start packing it all up!

moving2

Here they come! Our driveway is a little steep, so hubby supervised while his dad backed that big ‘ole truck up to unload.

moving5

The boys did most of the heavy lifting…

…while the girls carried the lighter loads.

A little over an hour later, this is what we were left with! An empty truck and a full house :)

moving13

To show our gratitude, we had some burgers and brews for everyone.

After everyone parted ways, this is what I was left with:

We are still unpacking boxes and settling in, but it already feels like home. Thanks again to all of our friends and family for your help!

Technical Difficulty

So tonight my hubby was doing some work on his own website that is hosted with the same hosting company as PinQue and accidentally DELETED the entire PinQue blog site! Needless to say I was a little stressed and dissapointed because I thought the whole thing was gone…luckily our hosting company backs up once a week, so we were able to recover most of the site with the exception of the past few days of posts and comments. So if your comment is missing, please know that I did not delete it on purpose :( I tried to recreate the posts from the past few days, so hopefully I did okay. I am still waiting on the winner of the HandPicked contest to contact me and unfortunately I lost a lot of the comments (and e-mail addresses) from the contest post, so hopefully I hear back from her. Otherwise I may have to run the contest (or extend it) to be fair to everyone. Ah jeez! Hubby did feel really bad and is in the process of ordering me a new pair of shoes to make up for it, so I guess I forgive him ;)
