Daddy’s Little Girl

Happy Father’s Day Diddy!

I know you don’t regularly read the blog, but I am sure Mom will show you this post ;)

“He smiles…..
There goes my life.
There goes my future, my everything.
I love you, daddy good-night.
There goes my life.

She had that Honda loaded down.
With Abercrombie clothes and 15 pairs of shoes and his American Express.
He checked the oil and slammed the hood, said you’re good to go.
She hugged them both and headed off to the West Coast.”

Love you Diddy…thanks for always supporting me in everything I do, you are the best diddy a girl could ever ask for!

Going Green for Earth Day

Loomstate Organic line for Target

This eco-friendly, funky line features 100% certified organic cotton that features easy-going dresses, tees, and skirts that give off a beachy vibe that I love. The Loomstate line release date was today, but I made a trip to Tar-jay with no Loomstate in sight. The line is also available online at www.target.com. Here are some of the items I think are staples for your “green” clothing purchases:

Cotton Silk Dress – $39.99

Pieced Tank $16.99

Cotton Linen Sweater – $29.99

Rock Garden Skirt – $29.99

White Bird Bikini – $16.99 per piece

Free Reusable Tote @ Old Navy

Also, get a free reusable tote at Old Navy with your 20% off Stuff and Save coupons! Not sure if the tote is available online, but you can still get the 20% off (with a credit card) with discount code STUFFSAVE until April 30th. I picked mine up today and will be getting a lot of use out of it at the grocery store!

Any other good sales, etc. going on for Earth Day this week? What are you doing to celebrate?

Shoe Shopping

I have been wanting new running shoes for a while now, so hubby and I finally broke down and hit up Run For Your Life today to get some! Run For Your Life is a great local Charlotte store that analyzing your running technique and helps you find the perfect fit and type for your running personality. After watching me walk and run, the nice lady brought out a few pairs for me to try, Saucony, Mizuno, and Nikes. With my high arch (thanks to years of ballet dancing), I chose the Mizunos:

And lucky for me the great salesgirl brought them out in my favorite color, PINK (wonder if she reads the blog, hee, hee)! It was match made in running heaven :) After we got home, I decided to hit up the YMCA to test out my new shoes. Put in about 3 or so miles on the treadmill (walking and running). I am so impressed what a difference having these shoes made! They are very light and fit my feet perfectly, made me feel like I was running on air. If you need new running shoes, I highly suggest finding a store like this to get a custom fit shoe that works for you.

This weeks workouts included:

Sunday: Workout Dance Video and some time on the Greenway with the hubby

Monday: Power Yoga and some crazy boot camp workout (that totally screwed up my calf muscles, ouch!)

Tuesday: Power Yoga and some gym-time (treadmill and weight machines)

Thursday: Power Yoga and The Shred workout (omigosh, I am loving this for a good 20 min workout)

Saturday: Gym Time, Treadmill, Bike and weight machines
