If you love nail polish as much as I do, I know you will appreciate this. Makeup line ELF now has a nail polish line (along with some great manicure accessories)…and it is only $1 a bottle! Such an easy way to change your look without much investment. Nail polish is an accessory in my book and can change the look of any ensemble.
I will take one of each please!

Lauren Conrad
GASP! Apparently due to the economy, Lauren Conrad has decided to put her clothing line on hiatus. Or could it be because it was never worth the money to begin with? I love Lauren Conrad and I love buying nice things, but $100 bucks for some knit leggings that I can get at Target? No thanks. A knit jersey dress I can pick up at Forever 21 for upwards of $200 bucks, I don’t think so! I think the “bad economy” came at just the right time for our dear tv friend Lauren. I am sure the publicity doesn’t hurt either for their April 6th premiere of THE HILLS!

Are you dissapointed to see the clothing line go away?

Where:
Work and lunch at a friend’s house. Apparently I have been in a serious yellow mood lately because I sure have been working it through my wardrobe. I am not loving this outfit, nor my photography skills today, but I thought I would be true to the bloggie and post it anyways. The scarf seemed like a good idea this morning, but then I felt like I had a men’s tie on all day! Ah well, you win some, you lose some
At least my top was comfy and felt like pajamas!
What:
Yeller Top: Banana Republic
Scarf: Thrifted
Pants: oldies from GAP…some of my favorites as far as dress pants go but of course they quit making this style
Shoes: Nine West Black Peep Toes
Hubby and I got the bright idea to give our dog a haircut yesterday…poor thing was too embarrassed to be seen on the blog!
Where:
Errands with hubby and potluck dinner with friends. Got to hear and see highlights from our friend Kath’s trip to Africa and share great food and friend time. Such a fun night!

Yellow Top: The Limited
Sweater: F21
Jeans: 7 For All Mankind (Roxanne Style in NY Dark)
Shoes: Report (same as Friday)
School Bus Yellow Purse: an oldie from F21
Also wore my green J. Crew bracelet and Kath brought us back some beautiful jewelry from Africa (THANKS KATH!!)
Did anyone watch the 90′s show House of Style on MTV? The show was all about fashion and style and featured well known names like Cindy Crawford, Rebecca Romijn, Daisy Fuentes and Linda Evangelista.
My favorite part was a feature with Todd Oldham where he did do it yourself projects on fashion and redecorating your home. I am so excited to find out that MTV is revamping the show and it is returning to tv. Here is the show description from MTV:
“The next crop of fashionistas are on the rise, their muse playing now on a concert stage, tv screen, laptop or theater near you and this spring, MTV is partnering with Teen Vogue to bring them ALL together to celebrate fashion with a groundbreaking new spin on a vintage classic with House Of Style.
From the streets to the runway, fashion is the way you live, who you are and what you want the world to think about you. Now more than ever, a generation of young Americans are expressing themselves and their ideas through their clothes. MTV and host, Bar Refaeli are taking viewers into the inner sanctum of the fashion world as she, along with correspondent, Chanel Iman, bring you the top must-have items of the moment, along with celebrity fashion stories, designer DIYs, beauty tips, style secrets, cyber trends and more!
Drama, beauty, music & madness, this is… MTV’s House of Style.”
Check your local listings to see when House of Style will be available in your area. Check out new host Bar Rafeali in this clip courtesy of MTV:
I totally just flashed back to my thirteen-year-old fashion loving self
