Banana Republic Striped Silk Maxi Dress – $130

I am CRAVING this dress like I CRAVE chocolate (and if you know me, you understand)! This is the perfect flowy summer dress for all of my upcoming weddings and related events and even comes in PETITE. Since I am pushing 5’1″, I have a hard time finding a maxi dress suited to my height (or lack there of) but this one fits the bill. I am hoping my size is still available at midnight, because I have a 30% off coupon I want to take advantage of. YOU SHALL BE MINE DRESS, you hear me?
I feel like hubby and I are in a neverending episode of House Hunters. I think we have looked at over 50 homes and only one so far that we really loved. Only problem is someone put in an offer before us. So the hunting continues….

When:
Thursday, May 7th
Where:
Work and House Hunting
What:
Top – F21, purchased because it resembles J. Crew’s Victoria Ruffle Cami, but at a much lower price
Capris – The Limited. Yes, I know capris are not terribly flattering on me, but sometimes you just feel like wearing them
Shoes – Report
Earrings – Boutique
Bracelet – F21
And how can you resist this sweet face?

Sorry for the lack of posts, I haven’t really been at home in the evenings since we returned from Hilton Head! Also, I have been doing this crazy boot camp at work during lunch, so I haven’t been wearing anything too exciting so I can change easily into my gym clothes. So far we have ran our bootays off, climbed a billion stairs (seriously, an entire football stadium TWICE!), and tons of pushups, squats and lunges. Needless to say, I am sore!
Anywho, this past weekend my high school girlfriends and I spent girls weekend in Edisto Island. I always love getting together with these girls. We have known each other since middle school and I can always be my retarded crazy self with them and they totally get me
I spent my weekend mostly on the beach (and got burnt with 50 SPF! ugh!), hanging out with the girls and teaching them all about blogging, and talked them into doing the 30 day shred with me. I am glad no one could see us packed into the beach house living room doing all those crazy moves. It was hilarious! Most of the weekend was spent in my bathing suit (which I ain’t posting pics of!), but here are a few highlights from the outfits I did wear:
Friday night – Dinner out with the girls, seafood…yummmmmmy

What:
Dress – GAP circa Summer ’07
Belt - Mom’s, vintage
Shoes – GAP
I like to keep it simple at the beach, and this easy, breezy dress did the trick. And you can’t see my sunburn, but I got FRIED like chicken. I hate being sunburn, and I thought SPF 50 would do the trick, but I fell asleep on my stomach and woke up with some red thighs and back. Ouch!
Saturday Night – Hitting up a local Edisto hangout

What:
Jeans – 7 for All Mankind~Roxanne Style
Top – F21, bought this because it reminded me of the J. Crew Rolling Ruffles tank, but I think I actually like this one better!
Shoes – endless.com, bought for last weekends wedding, but are coming in handy otherwise
Bracelet - F21
And the best part of the weekend, my girlfriends:

And just for fun, here are some old (seriously OLD) pics I have of us:

Just check out those shoes! YIKES~
