Several weeks ago I get a frantic phone call from my mom asking if I want to go to Nashville. Um, sureâŚbut why? Apparently my mom (otherwise known as Fashionistamama) won a trip to Nashville for the weekend for a backyard barbeque and concert with Keith Urban! Needless to say, she didnât have to ask twice and that weekend is in 2 days!! I canât say I am a HUGE country music fan like most of my family, but I do like Keith Urban and Sugarland is opening up for him. Seriously, who can pass up an all expenses paid trip to meet a celebrity and spend the weekend hanging out with your mom? Well, unless unlike me you donât like your momâŚor celebrities, which I happen to love both.
So my question is, what does one wear to meet a rather good looking, award-winning country music star? I am pretty sure something resembling cowboy boots on my feet are a necessity, but I NEED a cute dress to wear with them
Hubby just loves it when I say I NEED new clothes! Here are a few things I am eyeballing, unfortunately I might be relinquished to Anthropologie since we are leaving in two days.
I got these suede boots from Nine Westâs new Vintage America collection not too long ago, and this seems like the perfect opportunity to wear off their new-ness:
What I REALLY want is one of the cute frocks from ModCloth, but I donât have enough time for shipping
This one doesnât really mesh with my boots, but oh boy is it perfect for the âbackyard barbequeâ with Keith (were on a first name basis, after all):
Lookout, Cookout Dress from ModCloth ~ $57.99
This would totally be âTHE dressâ if I could get it in time. Why didnât I think about this earlier? Oh yeah, I guess we did have a lot going on with the move.
Country Roads Dress from ModCloth ~ $49.99
Even the names of these frocks are uber-appropriate for the event:
Potluck Picnic Dress from ModCloth ~ $47.99
Suede boots and plaid? No better match:
The Rockwell Frock from ModCloth~ $49.99
If I had a lot of money, I am pretty sure it would all go towards dresses from ModCloth!
Antique Trellis Dress in Weekday from ModCloth ~ $59.99
Stay tuned to see what I ACTUALLY purchase after my trip to the mall tonight!

Moving day went by smoothly and now we are settling into our new home! Our friends here in the Queen City were instrumental in helping this move go off without a hitch and we owe them a HUGE THANK YOU!!! It is amazing when people you have only known for a short time (in comparison to most of our friends) come out in full force to help you out. We truly feel blessed having such support and finally having a place we feel is HOME for the first time since we were married. Here is a recap of the move:
You never realize how much stuff you really have until you start packing it all up!
Here they come! Our driveway is a little steep, so hubby supervised while his dad backed that big âole truck up to unload.
The boys did most of the heavy liftingâŚ
âŚwhile the girls carried the lighter loads.
A little over an hour later, this is what we were left with! An empty truck and a full house
To show our gratitude, we had some burgers and brews for everyone.
After everyone parted ways, this is what I was left with:
We are still unpacking boxes and settling in, but it already feels like home. Thanks again to all of our friends and family for your help!
Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.

Have a fabulous weekend and a BIG THANK you to all of our Queen City friends for helping out with the move!! Hopefully I will be back online very soon.

Happy Birthday Annie!Today is one of my best friendâs birthdays and she has been there for me through thick and thin. We met during our college orientation over bagels and have been inseparable ever since. We have shared many a laugh and many a tear and have so many wonderful memories. She is having surgery on Monday and I ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through a difficult time.
Since I canât be there with her on Monday, I wanted to send a gift and what better than a Dogeared necklace! Dogeared is the perfect gift for all occasions and provide such a positive message and meaning to their pieces. You might notice I (almost) always wear my Itâs the Journey necklace that my husband (and coincidentally my mom too!) gave me several years ago. Dogearedâs Pearls of Friendship necklace was the perfect choice to celebrate her birthday and know that I am thinking about her:
