Work and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Hubby and I took his French intern out for a nice ‘American’ dinner before his return to France next week. I don’t think he was too keen on the idea of me stowing away in his suitcase though! In other news, the refrigerator and I got into a terrible fight fight Sunday evening and the fridge won, resulting in a minor concussion and me walking around in a dizzy, hazy state for the past few days. The doc didn’t seem to concerned about it since I slept through Sunday night before noticing any symptoms on Monday, but this crazy spinning feeling is starting to get a little nauseating!

PS. TWO MORE DAYS!!!! Except that I am not packed all the way yet and am started to freak out!

T-minus two days and counting until the keys to our new home are in our possession. Posting might be sporadic for a few days as we get moved in and get internet, etc. set up. Be sure to expect plenty of design on a dime tricks and idea boards on the bloggie in the upcoming months. I love clean lines, arts and crafts, and cottage chic styles, so we will see how I meld all those differing styles into our own unique home.

My ‘plan’ is to start in the kitchen, where I spend the majority of my time, and work my way around the downstairs before heading upstairs to paint and decorate. I am sure I will also be cooking A LOT more now that I have a full kitchen again, so I will be sharing recipes and cooking tips as well. 

Thank you guys for all of your support throughout the home buying process. It was a long excruciating process, but in the end we found a place that we can call home for many years to come, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic Also, my friend TheChicLife recently found a home here in the Queen City after a five year search, so CONGRATS to her and her hubby as well!
