StyleDiary: Ten for the Win

7.25

When:

Day Ten of the 30 for 30 Challenge (Friday, July 23rd)

Where:

Work and dinner out with friends. Ok, ok so I didn’t ACTUALLY wear this to dinner because it was 105 flippin’ degrees outside! But let’s just pretend I did. And let’s just pretend these jeggings are fabulous, because well, they are. A lovely reader noticed my post on jeggings over on High.Heels and offered to send me a pair of Levis to try out from Langston’s. I must attest to the fact I never thought that the jeggings concept would ever work on my short, muscular legs, but I am in love with them! They are stretchy and super comfy compared to a normal jean. You too can experience the greatness of these Levi’s jeggings (or anything else) thanks to the great people at Langston’s! Enter code ‘pinque0724’ at checkout through July 30th to receive 10% off your order. Best of all these Levi’s leggings are already on sale for $32, and trust me they are well worth it!

7.24

When:

Day Nine of the 30 for 30 Challenge (Thursday, July 23rd)

Where:

Work. We had plans to go out for a nice dinner at Bricktop’s for QueensFeast (Charlotte’s version of Restaurant Week) but without our townhouse in Charleston rented the thought of spending a lot on a frivolous dinner didn’t seem to make sense. Luckily on Friday we got it rented to a friend of one of my best friend’s from high school! Sometimes the world works in mysterious ways.

What:

6. SkirtBanana Republic

5. CardiganLOFT

Wedges – Report, Remixed

Side Note: Please say some prayers as my dad is having knee replacement surgery and my bestest friend went into labor today two months early!

StyleDiary: Grape Eight

7.19

When:

Day Eight of the 30 for 30 Challenge (Monday, July 19th)

Where:

Work, errands, eating my way through the grocery store. Word to the wise: Do not go to Trader Joe’s after not having eaten lunch and do not be tempted to buy Sushi from Trader Joe’s. It might look delicious, but I can assure you it.is.not. It is also not delicious to wear silk shirts on sweltering hot days. Who’s bright idea was it to make summer blouses in silk? And who’s bright idea was it to buy said silk shirts? Oh right, I guess that was me. Ah well, lessons learned today: do not buy TJ’s sushi, eat lunch, and do not wear silk blouses on hot days. There will be a test tomorrow and I expect you all to pass. Eight days down, eight items left to go.

What:

8. BlouseJ.Crew

StyleDiary: Seventh Heaven

7.16

When:

Day Seven of the 30 for 30 Challenge (Friday, July 16th)

Where:

Work and headed to Hot-lanta to visit a friend for the weekend. Speaking of HOT, our air conditioner has been on the fritz all week and when I got home from work it was NINETY degrees in our house! Poor little Cooper was just panting and laying on the hardwood floors trying to cool off. So we headed to Atlanta, dropped the fur babies off at my parents halfway so they didn’t burst in flames, and left our problem for when we got back home. Needless to say, sleeping Sunday night was not pleasant, but luckily the air is now fixed and it is nice and cool in our house again. What did people do before air conditioning in the South? And what did I do before cute shoes from Target?

StyleDiary: Superbly Six

7.14

When:

Day Six of the 30 for 30 Challenge

Where:

Working late and Sushi dinner with the hubby to celebrate his somewhat unexpected raise! Guess I can go off that 30 day shopping restriction now, right? Ok, ok, I know…fine I’ll do it. Luckily I bought these faux Jack Rogers sandals prior to the shopping ban and boy am I glad I did. I walked into Starbucks (as I do every.flipping.day, addicted much?!) in a ritzy Queen City ‘hood and all the cute little stay at home moms were sporting their Jack Rogers sandals. Man did it feel good knowing mine were only $15 and looked EXACTLY the same. Booyah!

What:

15. White PantsThe Limited (funny, I haven’t bought anything there in AGES!)

14. SandalsTarget

13. Ruffled BlouseF21

12. CardiganJ.Crew

BeltJ.Crew

There are some gold F21 earrings under all that hair too. Thank goodness for a haircut at the end of the month since I haven’t had one since JANUARY!
