Now that college football is over (insert HUGE sad face!) I really don’t know what to do with my Saturdays. So this Saturday was spent donning an ugly Christmas sweater and attending my husband’s company holiday party. What’s a gal gotta do for an excuse to go buy a fancy dress? My husband left the party with a Forever Lazy as his White Elephant/Dirty Santa gift. Apparently his coworkers know him well.
God bless the grandma/teacher/overzealous mom that left this beauty at the Goodwill.

There is a reason my mom has always called me “Mouth of the South.” I have a big one and don’t know when to keep it shut. I am forever inflicted with foot in mouth disease and on top of that am very opinionated, which is essentially a recipe for disaster. It is both a blessing and a curse. Those who know me appreciate my blatant honesty sometimes and other times I am pretty sure they just wish I would bite my tongue. That moment when you say something and immediately realize you shouldn’t have? I have far too many of those and today was no exception. Please pass the duct tape.

Now that the birthday celebrations are over (insert sad face), I have to admit that being thirty really doesn’t feel any different than being twenty-nine. Except that I have a kitchen full of cupcakes and no will to workout. Sound about right? Oh and those numbers on the scale keep going up every.single.day. Certainly that has to be because of my age and not the number of cupcakes I have consumed. Of course it has nothing to do with replacing breakfast with cupcakes. I plead the fifth.
